Maritime Labour Convention (MLC)

The Ship Registry has made considerable progress in the past year with key stages achieved including a major contribution in the creation of MLN’s to provide guidance to shipowners and seafarers on meeting the Isle of Man regulatory requirements for MLC. Industry feedback on the policy consultations has been extremely positive and, when applicable, the responses have been incorporated into our requirements. Our DMLC part I is accessible below and provides details on the IOM regulations for the 14 inspection items essential for MLC compliance. The user friendly web DMLC part II offers the shipowner a readymade fillable format in which they can insert the information on how they will ensure compliance to the regulations.
