Seafarers Complaint Procedure
The Isle of Man Ship Registry has always been obliged through legislation to receive legitimate seafarer’s complaints should they have had an unsatisfactory response from the Master or the Owner of the Isle of Man registered ship on which they are employed.
Our Quality Policy has reinforced this commitment and we have included a chapter on our seafarer’s complaints procedure in versions of the Master’s Handbook and Commercial Yacht Master’s Handbook.
This however does not increase the awareness of this facility to all crew members serving onboard and to assist in this matter we have produced a poster.
This poster should be displayed on board in an appropriate place where it can be seen by all crew members.
