Arijit is a Master Mariner with over two decades of experience in the maritime industry, both at sea and ashore. His seafaring background, combined with shore-based roles as Deputy Harbour Master and Nautical Lecturer, has deepened his expertise in maritime law, commercial shipping practices, and port operations. Over the years, his career at sea has included service on a wide range of vessels, such as bulk carriers, general cargo ships, offshore support vessels, defence support vessels, dredgers, emergency towing vessels, and LNG carriers.

In August 2025, Arijit joined the Ship Registry, where he has since been involved in conducting surveys on tankers and general cargo vessels.
