David began his career at sea in the Oil & Gas industry working on board tankers, he returned to the Island in 2017 in a shoreside operational role and joined the Ship Registry’s Technical Policy team in 2021.

David has a future focused mind and enjoys working on projects at the Ship Registry aimed at tackling the industry’s biggest challenges such as decarbonisation and water pollution. Having worked in the industry through the COVID-19 pandemic and witnessed the impact on seafarers, David also has a keen interest in the continued development of MLC for maintaining the highest standards of welfare for seafarers at sea.

In his spare time, David enjoys hiking around the island and spending time with his partner and young family.
