George joined the Ship Registry in August 2024 having previously worked a year ashore working within Defence Ports and Harbours as a 2nd Party Assurance Auditor for the Port Marine Safety Code. Prior to this, George spent 12 years at sea as a Deck Officer on a range of vessels, with multiple appointments in refit and drydock providing excellent experience and learning opportunities for a future career at the Ship Registry.
Having been born and raised on the Isle of Man, the Ship Registry has been an excellent opportunity to remain at the forefront of the maritime industry whilst reaping all the benefits a shoreside job at home brings. With multiple years ahead of him at the Ship Registry, George is keen to see the Registry continue to develop and adapt to the ever-changing maritime world.
