Graeme Somerville-Ryan is the Commercial Director of the Isle of Man Ship Registry and the founder of Eyesea, a non-profit maritime pollution mapping initiative. Bringing deep industry expertise to his role, Graeme has been consulting for maritime companies since 2012 and previously served as the Business Development Director (Asia) for a prominent Norwegian shipping law firm.

Since joining the registry in 2025, he has leveraged this extensive international background to drive global business development, expand the registry’s representative footprint, and secure its market position as a top-tier international flag state. His strategic focus centers on building a strong market presence across key global maritime hubs and championing sustainable, forward-thinking solutions that support the modern shipowner.
